WW2 US Army M-113 Signal Flag Kit – Signal Corps -2 Flags & Case -Semaphore NICE. Condition is “Used”.
An Original WW2 U.S. Army Signal Corps Flag Kit Type M-113, 2 Semaphore Flags in a Canvas Bag with Buckle Top and Shoulder Strap. The United States Army Signal Corps develops, tests, provides, and manages communications and information systems support for the command and control of combined arms forces. It was established in 1860, the brainchild of United States Army Major Albert J. Myer and has had an important role from the American Civil War through the current day. Over its history, it had the initial responsibility for a number of functions and new technologies that are currently managed by other organizations, including military intelligence, weather forecasting and aviation. The Semaphore flags are 18″ square and are divided diagonally into red and white as can be seen in the photographs. Both flags are like new, and are secured to 24 inch  wooden handles with ribbon ties. The canvas bag measures 27″ x 5″ and has a fold over top secured with a canvas strap and it has a canvas shoulder strap on the reverse .The bag also has two leather laces on the outside. The bag is ink stamped on the front with “Signal Corps US Army Flag Kit Type M-113”. The flags and bag are in very good undamaged condition.
