  • Here is a beautiful Newcomb College Pottery bulbous vase decorated with a scenic landscape, moss laden oak tree, and full moon in their signature matte blue and green glazes.  Well carved with good contrast and color. It measures 3 7/8 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at the widest.  It is in good condition with only a hard to see 1″ short tight line opposite the moon, and no chips, big cracks, repairs, or firing flaws.  Marked with the firm’s die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined SI for artist Anna Frances Simpson, date code UI75 for 1933, and KS for potter Ken Smith. A fine example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts southern art pottery.
